Helping you identify venomous and non-venomous snakes found in your backyard is my main priority.  However, eliminating the
senseless killing of snakes through education is another priority that I take very seriously.  Habitat reduction is probably the
number one cause for the decline of many Florida snakes and other wildlife.  By learning to identify the venomous ones, which are
usually seen less often than most of the common non-venomous ones, you will know whether to take action or not.  It's really that
simple.

I started Florida Backyard Snakes in September of 2000.  Over the years the site has evolved into what it is today.  Mike and I have
spent many hours hiking through the woods and driving down country roads to get many of these photos.  There are still many
Florida snakes to photograph and I intend to find as many as I can before I'm called home.

If you've found this site helpful and would like to make a contribution to Florida Backyard Snakes, please read on.

Your generosity will help me cover expenses and finance future hikes throughout this wonderful state.

Every single contribution, regardless of how trivial it may seem, is an enormous help.  I genuinely and personally appreciate each
donation.

Please use the PayPal donation link below.  If you are a PayPal member, it's quite simple.  If you're not a member, just input the
info needed to process your donation.

Thank you again for your support,
